I believe in lessons that are focused on student specific goals and in pursuit of their own musical growth. I teach both classical and folk styles for all levels and ages of harpers/harpists.
A little background about me: I graduated from Interlochen Arts Academy where I studied classical music and then continued on to the the Royal Conservatoire of Scotland where I obtained a degree in Traditional Scottish music.
My teaching experience includes an active private home teaching studio and various festivals and workshops across the US.
Lessons could cover a range of topics including tune learning, technique guidance, help with performance anxiety or arranging and composing for harp. I am a certified Suzuki teacher and use the methodology of Suzuki as a foundation for technique and learning.
