I teach folks from complete beginners to advanced students looking to expand their musical horizons. I work carefully with each of my students to create lessons that consider who they are, their musical goals and interests and how they learn, to keep them consistently moving forward. I have a nice, multi-camera setup so you can clearly see what I'm doing as I teach you and I can record our lessons for your future reference. I’ve played both the Broadway production and First National Tour of Steve Martin and Edie Brickell's bluegrass-infused, five-time Tony nominated show, "Bright Star". Closer to home, I split my time between playing alongside Grammy Award winning fiddler Lisa Gutkin (from the Klezmatics) in a new venture called "Lisa's Pieces, performing baroque period and contemporary classic music with the "NY Mandolin Ensemble, and I’ve authored several instruction and tune books including "Mastering Mandolin for Alfred Publishing.
