As an experienced player and teacher in the jazz and acoustic music idioms, I believe in a strong technical understanding of one's instrument, as well as a decent understanding of theory, to help expand a musician's creative tool kit. I love teaching everything from traditional fiddle tunes to jazz harmony, and am happy to take on students of all ages and ability on the guitar or mandolin. I strongly believe every person learns differently, and love helping my students achieve their personal musical goals, whether it's becoming a proficient jazz guitarist, a solid rhythm player, or someone who wants to be able to play and sing their favorite songs. I look forward to working with new students, and helping everyone have fun and find satisfaction through music!

Katherine Forbes is the founder of Nashville based website and brand design company, Designing the Row. Her client roster has grown to include GRAMMY Nominated & Award Winning Artists, New York Times Best Selling Authors, Film Composers, Reality TV Personalities, & many more! She is known for her clean and simple design style and is recognized as a Squarespace Expert and Squarespace Authorized Trainer. She is also the creator of music community, Music Biz Besties, and teaches digital music marketing as an adjunct professor at ETSU.
