In lessons with me, we will learn traditional Irish tunes by ear! All types of tunes will be covered and we will also discuss ornamentation, bowing, phrasing, and style to enhance your playing at your pace! We will also learn the history and fundamental information about the tunes such as the composer (if known), time signatures, and performance practice for sessions, gigs, or even competitions. We will also discuss recordings as listening is a key factor when learning by ear. I have worked with all ages ranging from 9 to 30 so come one come all! One hour usually gives student and teacher the best amount of time to learn a whole tune and hone in on the details but If you would prefer a shorter lesson, that also works! After the lesson, slow to fast recordings made by me will be available for your practice! Let's get to jamming!
